HAZEL M. CLANCEY (nee GOURLAY) June 1, 1921 to August 8, 2005 With heavy hearts we have said goodbye to our Mom and Nanny . Hazel is survived by her daughters, Lois (John) Hardman, Sharon (Don) Schaan, Sandi (Leonard) Apperley; her brother Gordon (Elizabeth) Gourlay; as well as twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon; parents; brother; sister and grandson. Despite the challenge of raising her daughters on her own since 1960, she has gifted us with a wonderful spiritual heritage. Her hospitality and generosity were widely known, always willing to work hard to help out in any way she could. We will always cherish the many beautiful afghans and other hand made gifts we have received. Mom's dedication and exemplary study habits were a sterling example for us to strive to follow. Mom's belief and trust in our creator Jehovah God included absolute faith in the resurrection hope and promise of life in a paradise free from sickness and death as described in the Bible at Revelation 21:3, 4. We too find comfort in that promise in our time of loss. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd. Special thanks to the Grace ICU unit and the third floor nursing staff.
