Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • After leaving Winnipeg in the mid-1970s myself, every time I visited Winnipeg I tried to track Stanley down. Yet irony of ironies, it appears that from the mid-1980s on, we both unknowingly lived in the same city. He was a great conversationalist with a commonsense, no bullshit perspective. There are so many stories and activities we could have shared, and I am sad that we did not know of each other's presence in Saskatoon. - Posted by: Karl Pfeifer (friend from our university days at the U of manitoba) on: Nov 05, 2021

  • Stanley was a good friend of mine. Drove me crazy but I loved him for it. He left us a long time ago and it pleases me that he has finally seen fit to go home. He never knew when he had worn out his welcome. I miss him. - Posted by: Bruce Geske (Friend) on: Sep 15, 2005
