DENISE ELAINE DREYSKO (nee PHILPOTT) September 14, 1938 - September 1, 2005 Beloved wife and mother passed away at Health Sciences Centre after a lengthy struggle with the debilitating effects of a stroke. She was predeceased by her mother Hazel (2000), father Guy (2001), father-in-law Michael (1985), mother-in-law Anne (2005), brother-in-law Nicholas Rudensky (1990), and longtime friend Mary Dudenhoffer (2004). Denise is survived by her husband Roman (Ron) and daughter and son-in-law Kim and Roli Brakop of Vancouver, BC. Also left to mourn her passing are her brother-in-law Walter (Margaret) Dreysko and sister-in-law Jessie Rudensky of Minneapolis, MN. along with their families. She was a longtime employee of Canada Packers Ltd. (Maple Leaf Foods) where she made many lifelong friends. Later, she and Ron worked together in their family business, Romco Railcar Services, where she made good friends from business acquaintances. The struggles at the end of her life seem in direct contrast with who she was. All who knew her will remember her joie de vivre, easy laugh, generosity and genuine concern for everyone she had dealings with. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the health care providers who cared for her these many months and the friends who visited and extended their love and concern. At her request, cremation has taken place and a remembrance service will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, a donation may be made in Denise's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., R2L 1X3, the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., R3C 3J2, or a charity of your choice. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
