Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGOVINDAPILLAI MAHADEVANPILLAI On Thursday, September 1, 2005 Govindapillai Mahadevanpillai, of 19 Virginia Place in Winnipeg, peacefully went to be with the God at the age of 85. He was born in Quilon, Kerala, son of the late Govindapillai and Parvathyammah, brother of late Narajanapillai, Kesavanpillai, Gangatharan, and K.K. Ammah. Mahadevanpillai will sadly be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 79 years, Sellammah, his one daughter Chandraleka Kamaleswaran, his sons Chandrabose, Suseendrabos, Devendrabose, Raveendrabose, Panchendrabose, Jeyakumar, son-in-law Kamaleswaran Ratnasingham, his daughters-in-law Arunthathy, Vimala, Chandrika, Shivanthi, Dharshini, Sasikala, grandchildren Aysha, Bruno, Supa, Suren, Parthipan, Pratheepan, Balagy, Sairan, Vinit, Nishan, Ranish, Shivaram, Deepa, Kapilan, Nivethan, and Kapish, Anish, as well as other family members and countless friends. Mahedevanpillai served as a Lieutenant in the British Army during the Second World War, he later settled in Sri Lanka and worked as a mechanical foreman in Lanka Cement Limited for 28 years. He also was a successful business man in Chandra Transport. Mahadevanpillai loved to spend time with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the medical staff at the fifth floor of Victoria Hospital for the special care they showed for Mahadevanpillai during his illness, their kindness meant a lot to him and to us. We would like to give special thanks to Dr. Green, Dr. Peach, Dr. Gobath and other doctors. A special thanks to Regional Office Director, Corni, Christie and to all the other staff and home care workers who took care of Mahadevanpillai and also thanks to the Palliative Care staff. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivary Blvd. (between Pembina and Waverley) Nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 McGillivray Blvd - 925-1120
